The Hamtun “Kraken” H2 is one of our watches! If you were aware of our brand or the independent watch industry in 2019 you’ve probably heard of it, thanks to the astonishing launch.
We launched for pre-orders in early March 2019, funded production in under 10 seconds and raised over £200,000 within a couple of hours. In the end it raised close to £500,000 in under a month and went down as one of 2019’s biggest independent watch company launches.
So what is it? The Kraken is a scratch-resistant titanium dive watch with a scratch-resistant coating, ceramic bezel insert, lots of Super-LumiNova,
It’s available in a wide range of colours and configurations, with the option to pick either a budget NH35a or a premium Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 being a particular success.
The Kraken H2 checked off a number of firsts for us, including first meteorite dialled model and first scratch-resistant model. In many ways it was the watch that made Hamtun the company that it is.
